We offer Horseback Riding Summer Camp for students aged 7 to 14

Camp is from 8:30 am until 5:30 pm

A typical day at camp begins with check-in of students followed by feeding the horses.

As the horses eat, the lesson schedule is discussed and arranged. As lessons are the most strenuous activities for both horse and rider, we like to get them out of the way early in the day before the weather turns hot. and then we have our fun and less strenuous activities while it is hotter outside.

Our camp is a total horsemanship camp and we believe that students need to learn basic care for horses which includes stall cleaning, grooming, and tack cleaning; each child will clean one horse stall during the day (our smaller riders may be partnered up with another camper to share a stall). We also handle educational topics in the classroom after lunch. This allows food to digest before the kids go back out into the heat of the day for more horse activities. Classroom time will often consist of horse anatomy, learning about tack (saddles, bridles, harnesses and other horse equipment), basic first aid for horses, how to turn out a horse for shows (shaving, braiding, hoof shine, etc.).Sometimes we may have professionals on site such as veterinarians, farriers or equine dentists for the students to learn from. We also provide a Summer Camp booklet with information and coloring pages, puzzles, etc. for each child.

Afternoon activities are our more "fun" activities. Campers will have fun with various relay races, scavenger hunts, bareback rides, finger painting horses and more. At the end of our hot, summer camps, we usually will end the day with a "wet" activity such as bobbing for apples in ice-cold water, sliding on a giant "slip-n-slide," shaving cream fights, horse baths and whatever other cool down activities we dream up. We make a full day of activities, and your child will go home tired, dirty, wet, and excited for the next day with the horses.

Cost for camp is $200 per week per child. Refer a new customer for camp and get a $20 gift certificate that can be used towards riding lessons or camp. Prior years of camp that we conducted at our location in Odessa, FL ended up being 70% repeat business for the last several years.....proof of how TOTALLY AWESOME our camp program is with the children and the parents.
