WE ARE CURRENTLY ENROLLING STUDENTS!
We instruct correct riding in a variety of seats and are currently enrolling for our Saddleseat and Hunterseat program. We hope to offer Western and Harness lessons soon. We offer lessons for children aged 6 and older, and also teens and adults.
We use experienced lesson horses in our program and make every effort to promote fitness, safety and fun. There is an old saying used in Architecture..... "form follows function" and we adhere to that adage. Correct form has a definite function in keeping the horse and rider well balanced together and also in developing proper, safe posture..... it isn't all about "looking pretty" in the saddle, and it is a matter of more than simply staying on the horse. We help riders develop a strong abdominal core, isolate muscles for different tasks, and develop soft effectiveness which allows the rider to compete to his or her maximum potential, yet still appear classically elegant while doing so. As riders progress, they have opportunities to ride a variety of horses and try different riding styles. We LOVE producing riders that can be versatile in different divisions!
Group lessons are not available to beginner students. We keep beginners in private lessons until they are sufficiently able to achieve specific goals before we introduce them to a group situation with other horses and riders. We do not charge less for our group lessons as we believe there is great value in riding in group settings. Group riding teaches the rider safe riding techniques in group situations, it allows us to easily use riders as examples for each other for teaching purposes, and for riders preparing for competition it allows us to teach how to ride strategically.
Occasionally, we may have horses available for lease to our students and competition exhibitors.
Call to book your lessons, we teach Tuesday - Sunday for riders aged 6 and older
